Why We Started

Longtime lighting designers Don Peifer and Mark Walsh came together in December 2007 to form Lunera Lighting with the objective of bringing the next generation of commercial Solid-State Light (SSL) or LED lights to market.

They instilled in the company a belief that the efficiency gains from LEDs could be matched with quality design to create a product that would usher in the transition from fluorescents to LEDs.

Lunera assembled a group of scientists, artisans, marketers and engineers integrating science with state-of-the-art optical design to create beautiful workplace light that delivers long-term value to the building, its inhabitants, and the environment.

Lunera Lighting is a technology innovator leading the transformation of traditional lighting to environmentally friendly, digital LED technology. We design and manufacture high performance commercial LED lighting fixtures that replace common fluorescent fixtures. Our application of digital lighting technology improves the quality of light for commercial building occupants, lowers the operating cost for building owners, enhances worker productivity and reduces the carbon footprint for all who inhabit the planet.
